Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to respond to a wide range of emergencies involving infants and children. Course topics include:
- CPR for non-breathing, unconscious infants and children
- Airway obstruction (choking) — conscious and unconscious
- Anaphylaxis and asthma
- Seizures and diabetic emergencies
- Sudden medical and respiratory emergencies
- Childbirth and shaken baby syndrome
- Head, spinal, and internal injuries
- Bleeding, wounds, fractures, and sprains
- Poisoning and environmental emergencies
