CPR level HCP

The most comprehensive stand-alone CPR course available through St Mark James is CPR level “HCP” (also known as CPR level “C” for health care providers). This course is designed for individuals that work in the health care environment such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and massage therapists. Many fire-fighters, lifeguards and students are also required to take this course. This course takes approximately 6 hours to completeĀ and includes training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED). What Will I Learn?

Participants that enrol in this course will learn about the following topics:

  • CPR rescue techniques for adult, child and infant victims using advanced equipment such as bag-valve masks
  • When and how to provide artificial respiration to unconscious victims
  • When and how to assist conscious and unconscious victims with obstructed airways (choking)
  • What are the legal implications of proving CPR and first aid
  • How to provide CPR with the aid of trained assistants
  • When and how to contact EMS
  • All of the content from CPR level “A” and “C”

Participants will learn all of the above skills and more when attending stand-alone CPR “HCP” courses in Lethbridge, Alberta.

What Certification Will I Receive?

Participants that successfully complete the course will receive a workplace approved CPR level “HCP” and AED certificate (no first aid) that is valid throughout Canada for 3 years.

Are Refunds and Transfers Possible?

Yes, you can request a refund or transfer to another course as long as your request is not within 72 hours of the course. Within 72 hours of the course refunds and transfers are not accepted.
